The VTseries touch screen works with all major brands of touch controllers. Customer can select preferred touch controller. Considering price vs. performance. The default configuration is as the following:
- Smaller screen (<15″) adopts COF configuration with touch controller built on FPC. The default controller is SIS9255.
- The bigger screen (>15″) uses COB configuration with separate controller board. The default controller card is Ilitek ILI2312P for VT-A models and Silicon Works for VT-S models.
SHIELDTM touch screens are HID compliant, support plug & play for all commonly used OS’s. There is no need to install any driver for most of the commonly used operating systems, Windows / Linux.
For versions of Linux / Android / Chromium OS / MAC OS, SHIELDTM works with controller IC suppliers to support drivers for those environments when a driver is needed. Please contact us for driver and tools need of your specific project.
